2024 is only a couple of weeks away, and from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks hitting organisations around the globe to innovative solutions continually evolving to target these threats, there’s plenty to reflect on as we look back over the past year.

Not only is there a lot to look at when it comes to the channel, but there’s also plenty to talk about at Brigantia. We’ve had a busy and successful year. New vendors have joined our offering, our partner events have been the best to date, and our team has continued to grow and provide our partners with the high-quality knowledge and support we pride ourselves on.

Cybersecurity trends in 2023

As we review the past year, it makes sense to start with the trends we’ve seen in the cybersecurity landscape. At our annual partner event last year, Angus made his predictions on what we might see as growing trends in 2023: growth in the adoption of Cyber Essentials, an increased focus on incident response, the rise of the password manager, and the rise of unification. As we now head towards the end of the year, we can see that Angus’s forecasts were pretty accurate.

Password management has been a front-runner in 2023, with a significant growth in demand for effective password management and security. Solutions like Keeper are leading the way in this area of security and it’s something we believe will continue to be in high demand in the months to come.

As we all know, the current economic landscape is challenging and uncertain for many individuals. The result of this? Organisations are becoming much more aware of the risk of insider threat becoming a reality and are seeking solutions to protect themselves. Here at Brigantia, we took our time to find the right solution to match this gap in the market, partnering with Next DLP early in the Autumn.

Next DLP wasn’t the only development in our offering this year. Let’s look at the other key areas of cybersecurity that we have targeted with other new vendors.

Brigantia’s 2023

Our portfolio

Our focus continues to be bringing unique cybersecurity solutions to the market. With quality at the forefront, we expand our offering to address a genuine problem or need in the channel. In 2023, four new vendors have joined our offering.

ITagree

ITagree is all about putting the right agreements in place so our partners can navigate everyday challenges, capitalise on opportunities and ensure their customer contracts are watertight.

Octiga

Octiga enables MSPs to deliver Office 365 security to their clients easily and efficiently, allowing them to cover all the security controls and all the risks for all their tenants.

Conceal

A solution dedicated to stopping ransomware and credential theft at the browser edge. Conceal is a lightweight and secure browser extension that identifies and isolates risky online activity to protect against ransomware threats and credential theft.

Next DLP

Helping to end the risk of insider threat, Next DLP is a user-centric data protection solution that uncovers risk, educates, and fulfils security, privacy, governance compliance, and regulatory needs.

New vendors bring new opportunities, and our events are the perfect platform to bring our community together to connect and share valuable knowledge and opportunities.

Brigantia events

Community is extremely important in the cybersecurity market, and this has been evident throughout our events this year. Whether it’s our vendor webinars and launches, member and partner conferences, email security summit, or our annual partner conference, we’ve seen a high amount of community engagement throughout 2023.

Our annual partner conference, hosted at the iconic One Canada Square, Canary Wharf had the highest-ever attendance. And, as always, it was a fantastic opportunity for our vendors and partners to connect and discuss the latest cybersecurity trends in the channel.

The Brigantia team

The Brigantia team has continued to grow and provide outstanding support to our partners in 2023. With a high staff retention rate, partners are speaking to the same people day in and day out, allowing them to trust the experience and knowledge of our team.

Our Sales Director, Angus Shaw, commented on his proudest team moment over the last 12 months:

“Last December, for the first time, I took a couple of weeks off for my honeymoon. Not only did the team keep things running without a hitch whilst I was away, but on Christmas Eve I received a message to say we’d gone over our stretch target. It made me proud, because it proved to me what I already knew, which is that our team takes ownership of what we do, work hard whatever the requirement, and we truly enjoy it.”

Looking ahead

From new vendors joining our portfolio to having our most successful partner conference to date, 2023 has been full of successes. As we head into 2024, the cybersecurity scene will continue to evolve, and so will the product market.

Brigantia will remain front and centre of finding unique and innovative solutions to address genuine problems and we will continue to provide the value-added support our partners expect.
