Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Heimdal as both the company and the cybersecurity landscape have evolved at remarkable speed.
What started as a point solution has now grown into something far more significant. Now a unified platform designed to support channel partners and their customers with simplifying complicated security, Heimdal helps partners strengthen protection and stay ahead of an unpredictable environment.
When we introduced Heimdal to the market 10 years ago, many of our partners would have known Heimdal for its DNS security capabilities which at the time addressed a very real need.
What’s been most impressive during this time is not just where Heimdal started but how deliberately it has evolved in response to the market.
Today, Heimdal is a unified security platform that brings together multiple layers of protection, including endpoint security, privilege access management, patch and vulnerability management, email security and MXDR capabilities.
This shift matters because over the same period, channel partners have been dealing the challenges of tool sprawl, increasing operational complexities and a threat landscape that doesn’t fit into individual product categories.
Heimdal’s evolution reflects that reality.
Our partnership with Heimdal has been built on a shared understanding of the channel and a mutual commitment to helping channel partners deliver strong security outcomes.
Over the past decade, this has translated into consistent collaboration across enablement, go-to-market activity and partner engagement. From partner focused events and campaigns through to joint presence at industry shows, the focus has always been the same: ensuring partners not only understand Heimdal, but can successfully position, adopt and grow with it. As a result, we now have over 600 channel partners with Heimdal part of their stacks.
Many partners first came across Heimdal years ago, and it’s natural to view it through that same lens. But in cybersecurity, standing still isn’t an option. The reality is that both the threat landscape and the technology used to defend against it have dramatically changed, and they’ll keep changing. The vendors that continue to lead are the ones that keep evolving alongside those challenges.
This gap between perception and reality matters because cybersecurity is no longer about deploying ‘best-in-class’ point solutions. Bringing visibility, efficiency and protection together in a way that’s manageable for partners and end users is what matters and will keep you on the right side of change.
Heimdal’s evolution into a unified platform is a direct response to those changing demands and is one of the reasons we continue to see strong momentum among partners who take a fresh look at what if offers today.
In today’s market, channel partners are under more and more pressure when it comes to managing complex environments, meeting the demands of their clients as well as changes in regulatory needs. As pressures increase and cyber threats continue to grow, there is both challenge and opportunity for partners when it comes to simplifying their security stacks alongside improving outcomes.
The challenge is moving away from legacy, fragmented approaches that have built up over time and the opportunity is in consolidating around platforms that can reduce difficulties, improve efficiency and deliver stronger protection through integration.
I believe this is where we will see some of the biggest opportunities for channel partners over the next few years. The ability to simplify security operations without compromising protection will be a genuine differentiator, and Heimdal is firmly positioned for this opportunity. Our role at Brigantia is to ensure partners are supported in making that transition successfully.
Reflecting on the last 10 years, it’s clear that both Heimdal and our partnership have been shaped by constant evolution, creating a long-term strategic partnership built around the channel. While the progress to date is significant, it feels very much like the foundation rather than the destination.
There’s plenty still ahead of us. The next phase will be defined by continued consolidation in the market, greater demand for operational simplicity and an even stronger need for trusted partners who can guide the channel through that change.
If you are revisiting your security stack or simply want to understand what Heimdal can help you achieve now, we would warmly welcome the conversation.
