Why we partner with Octiga

At Brigantia, partnering with the right vendors is critical for several reasons. Our portfolio is comprised of high-quality products and services that address the challenges' businesses face in the channel.

Office 365 is one of the most well-known cloud-powered platforms, but if it is not properly set up, maintained, and monitored, security and compliance can pose a significant risk to businesses. Managing O365 manually is a time-consuming, arduous process that, without the right tools, can be impossible to keep up with.

This is why Brigantia teamed up with Octiga. In this article, we'll go into greater detail about why we chose Octiga, what sets it apart from the competition, and the impact it's having on our MSP partners.

Background – what Office 365 issues do MSPs face?

Many MSPs are taking on the responsibility of managing O365 security on their own. However, as we've already mentioned briefly, the time required to configure, monitor, and maintain O365 security is significant.

It requires ongoing monitoring as well as timely reporting and remediation. There is a lot of manual labour involved here. This is not only slow and inefficient, but it also makes full visibility difficult. It's nearly impossible for MSPs with multiple clients to keep up, posing significant security risks.

We at Brigantia were aware of MSPs' pain points and had been looking for a product that addressed these issues. Ultimately, we wanted to make maintaining and monitoring O365 security as simple as possible. Until Octiga, there were products on the market that addressed some of the issues, but not all of them.

Partnering with Octiga

Octiga's solution outperformed everything else, so there was no doubt that it was the right partnership for us. Octiga has already proven to be a huge success since its official launch in February via a webinar and our Birmingham and Newcastle partner days.

So, how is Octiga accomplishing all of this? Let's take a look at what sets it apart from the crowd.

What makes Octiga stand out from the crowd?

Octiga is designed to help businesses in achieving continuous and consistent best practises in O365 security. Best of all, it does so in the most efficient manner possible, making it ideal for MSPs.

It ensures that there are no gaps or breaches in a company's security posture by using a proactive approach of continuous monitoring, tailored alerts, and auto remediation, all with a few clicks.

Security baselines that meet best practises can be deployed directly from templates. This relieves end users of the burden of developing a security posture from scratch. It makes an otherwise slow process much more efficient for MSPs while maintaining quality. Security posture templates are highly repeatable and can be applied across industry verticals to provide clients with consistent best practise and an effective service.

What about other Office 365 security products?

Some products provide monitoring, and some provide templating, but nothing else on the market can provide what Octiga can.

Octiga's security dashboard combines best practise baselines from templates with continuous monitoring and targeted alerts. The notifications are sophisticated. For example, by flagging suspicious inbox rules, Octiga can detect and prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. This is completely automated, which makes it faster and less prone to error than manual monitoring.

Octiga also integrates with professional services automations (PSAs) such as ConnectWise, Datto Autotask, and HaloPSA. This improves the experience for O365 users who also use those PSAs.

There simply isn't another solution out there that is as unified, effective, and simple to manage as Octiga.

Octiga’s open-door policy

Another distinct offering is Octiga's extremely close relationships with clients. The CEO, Rob McFeely, is committed to having a positive working relationship with clients. Whether it's raising an issue with an existing feature or suggesting a new one, Rob is eager to engage in these discussions so that Octiga can continue to improve and adapt to market demands.

If a feature isn't yet available on Octiga, it's very likely that it's on their roadmap and will be added soon. MSPs are currently most interested in ATP policies and Intune baselines, both of which are on track to become part of Octiga's future offering. Octiga is a fantastic product right now, and thanks to Rob's open approach, it will only get better.

Features and benefits of Octiga

Octiga demonstrates to the MSP market that it understands them, and Rob demonstrates that he listens to what they need and what works for them.

Let's take one last look at Octiga's unique features and benefits.

Octiga simplifies Microsoft Office 365 security by:

  • Using baseline templates for security best practices
  • Continuous security posture monitoring
  • Alert monitoring, which can be targeted and tailored to a client using the all-in-one dashboard
  • Monitoring, detecting threats, and sending alerts when suspicious activity is detected
  • Giving MSPs full visibility and remediation of all their clients with multi-tenant control
  • Identifying and patching critical gaps
  • Auto remediation, allowing clients to make things secure in in just a few clicks
  • Saving time, resources, and money by eliminating the need for manual posture checking
  • Allowing MSPs to focus on a proactive approach with clients rather than being reactive to security issues
