OK, so you’re senior management in an MSP/MSSP, [I’m just going to use the term MSP from now on to cover both] and you can see that some of your customers are starting to struggle. It’s hardly a surprise given that most of the economies in the world are being gutted by the various responses to COVID-19. I’m sure that you know what comes next, that cost-cutting exercise that companies always do when they are trying to stay afloat. You hope that none of your managed services will be affected but that is fairly unlikely.

What are you going to do about it? Your options are:

  1. Cut costs in your business too. This will hurt, especially if it includes laying off staff. It also does not send a good message to clients and suppliers…
  2. Open your eyes to new possibilities, new ways to make money. Ever wondered what is meant by the term, “value added distribution”? Why not find out?

Assuming that you have not chosen option one, value added distribution (VAD) is where your distributor does more than simply sell you something, take your money and then move on. It means that they work with you to provide the best services to your clients, assisting with the sales process and sometimes even supporting or providing the ongoing fulfilment of a service. A VAD knows that the only way to succeed is when you, the MSP, also succeeds, so why leave it to chance rather than assist?

Naturally, the distributor that I am describing is Brigantia, but you knew that already. There are many different ways that Brigantia can help your MSP business, many different approaches, and many different solutions: this is not a “one-size-fits-all” situation. The beauty of this is that you are in complete control at all times, nothing happens that you do not want to happen, your clients remain very much your clients. There are no strings to this; Brigantia wants to make money by helping you find new sources of revenue.

If you already deal with Brigantia then talk to your account manager about what else there is that you can add to your existing portfolio. If you don’t, then get in touch to find out where you new income is going to come from. Email partnersupport@brigantia.com or call Brigantia on 020 3358 0090

It is different world out there: you must adapt to it to thrive!
