Iain Shaw, Brigantia Partners commercial director, discussing the recently released Welcome to Brigantia video and this month’s Brigantia annual partner day at Lord’s cricket ground, London.

Since our management buyout from Techgate plc, a Claranet business, back in January 2016 I have been wanting to showcase a little of how our young and highly dynamic team at Brigantia have been driving the business forward. To this end, we recently commissioned a Welcome to Brigantia video that explains where Brigantia is today and where we are going over the coming months. The video showcases some of our key vendor and reseller partners driving the message around our wholesale connectivity and managed service offerings, especially our cybersecurity specialism, while also touching on our roots as a subscription community delivering a full portfolio of business and employee benefits.  I would thoroughly recommend anyone interested to watch this short video. We will be bringing out further informative videos on a regular basis in 2018.

GDPR is high on everyone’s radars right now. At Brigantia we have been trying to find the best ways to help our reseller and MSP partners with both their own businesses and to deliver solutions for their business end users.  To this end we recently hired an expert in information security to join us as Director of Consultancy and we have also put in place a panel of process consultants that can help partners where needed.  We believe that we now have a great tool box for our partners to access and to this end we headed to the JP Morgan Media Centre at Lord’s Cricket Ground, Marylebone, London earlier this month for our annual partner day.  We had CEOs and CTOs from a great line up of our vendors and a full house of our reseller and MSP partners who confessed to being knocked for six by the content delivered. The day was not just about what GDPR is but about how our partners can deliver solutions and perhaps more importantly how best they can leverage all the opportunities that are coming the channels way not just up until May next year but ongoing thereafter. Information security, audit and compliance is not just about a date in May, but it is forever!

Much of the content from our partner day will be made available through the Brigantia website before the end of the year.  In the meantime, if anyone wishes to take a first step on their journey toward GDPR compliance why not put everything aside for five minutes to find out how much your business has to do to achieve GDPR compliance by answering our free questionnaire.
